Dinosaur Space Quilt

I decided to make a dinosaur space quilt for my husband's birthday. Here is how I made it so I don't forget.

I first cut out square out of the green fabric (on sale at Jonans) I then cut out dinosaur shapes that I traced from the computer.

I then cut out fabric and appliqué lining and ironed the pieces together we then did an appliqué stitch putting the dinosaur on the square block.

Then I cut out three inch strips to put between the blocks.

I then made longer strips I learned that it is okay to have the strips at any length since you will not be able to see the sew line.

My Grandma quilted it and then I hand stiched the border with blind stitches. Fabric Mill is where I ended up getting most of the planets fabric and the space fabric.
